Privacy Policy

lo-fi cafe, LLC ("we") makes NOOTCH!, lo-rain and the lo.fi website. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
What we collect
- Email address — to send and recover your license key and for support.
- License and purchase status — plan, subscription status and Paddle customer/transaction IDs, to know your license is valid.
- Device identifier — a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware ID and the Mac name you see in the app, to enforce the number of Macs per license. We can't turn the hash back into your hardware ID.
- Website analytics — anonymous usage events (e.g. page views, button clicks) via PostHog and Google, to improve the site.
NOOTCH! works on your Mac: the content of your widgets, files shelf, notes and media is not sent to us.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your card details. See Paddle's privacy policy.
Service providers
We use Paddle (payments), Railway (hosting and database), Resend (transactional email) and PostHog (analytics). They process data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and your rights
We keep license data for as long as your license exists and as required for tax/accounting. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data (LGPD/GDPR/CCPA) by writing to support@lo.fi. Deleting your data deactivates your license.
